Time for a Change?

The rumblings have been growing louder.

At first it was just an occational, "You need to change your blog name." Then I lost a few pounds, got a little faster and pushed the PR bar a little lower.

A few more posts appeared in the comment section. "Pretty soon, we won't be able to call you Teh' Snail."

I still didn't feel comfortable about dropping the name.

For one thing, I've aquired all of these cool snail pics - what will I do with them if I change the blog name?

I was on trail Saturday and two different runners mentioned to me that I was no longer a trail snail...

So, I am taking it to the blogosphere!

What do you think?

Change the blog name or no?

Any name suggestions?

well, I wear my "Hill Slug" cycling shirt with pride, even though I ain't so slow anymore. It's not so much about what you are, but more about how you see yourself.

If that is who you see yourself as, then keep it. Besides, I was just teasin ;-)

And here I thought it meant Georgia Snails were exceptionally fast.

I'm no good at coming up with names. Team races where we need a name are the hardest part. So no help there.

However.......

Yeah, I say go for it and get a name that reflects you now! Unless you don't want to.

There......I was no help at all. Sorry.

My vote is to stay the snail. I think it's a great name and I think it's kinda cool that you've made so much progress. Maybe a reminder of how far you've come?

Congrats on the Sweet H2O - Great report and a fast running time. Your training sounds solid and will prepare you well for Pinhoti.
Your call bro on the name change. Either way, I will still check in to see how things are going.

It's a great blog name. Don't change it. And you can revel in the irony of the name.

Change it. I've been thinking of getting my own domain name for my blog.

I think you should officially change your name to Teh Peachy Escargot.

Because then I get royalties.

Keep it, it's a great name.

Is "Glavensbitch" taken?

Sloths are marginally faster than snails, if you need an upgrade. I considered changing the name of my blog, but there was a roar of protest (akin to the sound of the ocean surf here in Minnesota), from people who go there by Googling the blog name. I'd say stick with the old name and use it ironically, if need be.

Stay the Snail...it's all a matter of perspective and reminds you where you (and most of us) once were and how far you've come!

Your name is your brand. Don't change.

Please stay with the "Snail". Not only is it "you" it is now an inspiration to whomever stumbles upon you on a trail and hears/reads/sees how far you've come. The name opens the door to converstaion. Stay with it :)
